What the doctor ordered
A few years ago I had my steering cables and helm replaced by a marine boat repair store. Their overall performance was so bad that I never returned to them and subsequently moved to a different city. I later found out that they had installed a T71 rotary helm which has no feedback protection. A few weeks ago I was going through some chop and I let go of the helm for a moment to retrieve some binoculars that had fallen onto the deck. The boat immediately did a sharp 90 degree turn and nearly threw me in the water and sank my boat. Fortunately, I was able to pull the throttle back and regain control. I immediately ordered the T73NRFC. It was easy to replace and has solved my safety problem.. I would strongly recommend replacing any T71 helms with the T73NRFC.
